You’ll be part of our talented and cohesive team, providing general acute pediatric care, neonatal and consultant pediatric services to patients and their families at KGH. Enjoy a busy and challenging practice working alongside an excellent team of caring professionals.
Kelowna serves as a referral centre for the Central Okanagan. Our state-of-the-art NICU houses 14 beds and supports babies born after 30 weeks of gestation. We have a 10-bed pediatric unit with an adjacent pediatric urgent care clinic. We also have outpatient clinic space, which is used for outreach clinics from various sub-specialist groups from BC Children’s Hospital.
In association with UBC’s Southern Medical Program, you’ll have opportunities to teach medical students, family practice and senior pediatric residents. Academic work takes place in both the Clinical Teaching Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, averaging one week per month.
