You'll be part of our talented and cohesive team, providing general acute pediatric care, neonatal and consultant pediatric services to patients and their families at KGH. Enjoy a busy and challenging practice working alongside an excellent team of caring professionals.
Kelowna serves as a referral centre for the Central Okanagan. Our state-of-the-art NICU houses 14 beds and supports babies born after 30 weeks of gestation. We have a 10-bed pediatric unit with an adjacent pediatric urgent care clinic. We also have outpatient clinic space, which is used for outreach clinics from various sub-specialist groups from BC Children's Hospital.
In association with UBC's Southern Medical Program, you'll have opportunities to teach medical students, family practice and senior pediatric residents. Academic work takes place in both the Clinical Teaching Unit and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, averaging one week per month.

- Eligible for Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC)\
- You'll hold, or be eligible for, licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).\
- Your certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be up to date.
- You’ll bring current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification to this role.\
- To practice medicine here, you’ll have coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
Hours of work: We want you to love your full-time practice and your life outside work, and we'll help you maintain that balance.
On call requirements: Expect a 1:7 call rotation with 8-15 hour shifts–plenty of time to recharge in between.
